• <br /> 410 <br /> 6/15/82 Page -2- <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - COMP PLAN Coucilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris <br /> AMENDMENTS - AUGUST 3, 1982 seconded that the public hearing on the Comp <br /> Plan Amendments be set for August 3, 1982. <br /> Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> H.U.D. FAMILY HOUSING PROJECT Each councilmember had a copy of Director <br /> WAIVE ADDITIONAL FEES Rupp's memo requesting the waiver of ad- <br /> ditional fees for the project. The re- <br /> quest was for $15,600, which were the Park <br /> fees and Building Permit, total cost of the <br /> project $756,641.00. The contractor had <br /> eliminated all the brick on the structures, <br /> same number of units exist - family units. <br /> It would be owned by the City Housing Authority <br /> and would be rented by the residents of Louis- <br /> ville. Window treatment was to be added. <br /> If Council does not waive the fees - the <br /> project would not go. The Louisville Housing <br /> Authority were in hopes the project could be <br /> constructed. <br /> Mayor Meier inquired of Director Rupp if the <br /> contractor was a reliable one so we did not <br /> run into the same problems as those at Regal <br /> Square. Rupp reported Nelson-Roth had a good <br /> report with H.U.D. officials and was nationally <br /> known. He also advised maintenance costs have <br /> been placed in the budget, restructured in the <br /> rental fee. <br /> TOM CHANDLER, REPRESENTING Reported that the Housing Authority does not <br /> NELSON -ROTH CONTRACTORS put up any money at all until the project is <br /> completed. H.U.D. officd.alsand the City <br /> Building Dept. makes inspections throughout <br /> the construction. When it is determined the <br /> project meets the plans and specs then there <br /> is final acceptance by the Housing Authority. <br /> Landscaping, . irrigation system will be pro- <br /> vided by the contractor, as well as South <br /> Boulder Road improvements. <br /> APPROVAL TO WAIVE ADDITIONAL Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris <br /> FEES seconded that the City waive the Park Fees <br /> and Building Permit Fee for $15,600.00 on <br /> this project. Question called for. All in <br /> favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
