Reiterated by denying <br /> a vote, the people of Louisville would not <br /> have the right to voice their opinion. The <br /> findings of the Judge in his court action <br /> against the City did not find any findings <br /> for Council to repeal the ordinance. If <br /> Council decided to repeal it this evening, <br /> he would take the issue back to Court. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED Mayor pro-tem Fauson continued the public <br /> hearing and asked if there was anyone present <br /> in favor of Ordinance #794. <br /> ROBERT WOODSON Stated first he wished to congratulate the <br /> 235 Hoover Court City Manager and Mayor for their statements <br /> concerning Lafayette's plan of high density <br /> urbanization of our City' s eastern gateway. <br /> Felt that it is a repulsive proposal and <br /> should incur the wrath of every citizen of <br /> both Louisville and Lafayette. Further stated <br /> it is time that our City leaders let it be <br /> known that Louisville will not quitely submit <br /> to the wholesale destruction of our City' s <br /> greenbelts by a greedy few. Whether that <br /> destruction be aimed at our eastern gateway <br /> by Lafayette or our western gateway on Dillon <br /> Road, by an individual that applies for com- <br /> mercial zoning of land in our City' s greenbelt. <br /> Applauded Council's adamant stand on this issue <br /> and offered his support in the fight to pro- <br /> tect our City's gateways against commercial- <br /> ization and residential development . <br /> NANCY WOODSON, 235 Hoover Also wished to congratulate the Mayor and <br /> Court members of City Council for the support of <br /> the greenbelt part of the City's Comprehen- <br /> sive Plan.
