411 410
10/18/83 Page -8-
Mr. Krueger advised that brick facades would
be used on the fronts of the homes with a
variety of brick colors; also a smooth siding
will be used as opposed to the cedar. Also
different hues will be used for the stains.
councilwoman Morris Referred to the subdivision agreement and
'encing inquired what areas were planned to be fenced.
Krueger replied along the lots that back up
on the open space, along Harper Lake parcel,
and the extension to east of Harper Lake.
The type of fencing had not determined, but
they would like to continue with split-rail
as in their other subdivisions. However,
after speaking with Director Hioco a wild-life
sanctuary is being planned in the area and
a split-rail fence would not be practical for
this use as it would not provide the protection
against i.e. dogs in the area.
Councilwoman Morris stated that she would pre-
fer a split-rail or some type wood fence rather
than a chain link fence. Felt that it was
more aesthetic with the type homes being
planned as well as the more natural look of
Harper Lake.
. ld1ife Sanctuary Inquried of Director Hioco, with all the homes
that eventually will be built in and around
the area, how will a wildlife sanctuary be
preserved?
Director Hioco advised that he had talked
with the State regarding fencing requirements
around the homes and they recommended 42"
chain link fencing. This would be needed
to keep dogs out of the area for the bird life,
ducks, geese, etc. and also in keeping with
a Grant for nature trails for school children.
McCaslin Blvd. Councilwoman Morris inquired how many lanes
are we projecting McCasli.n Blvd. to be?
Administrator Wurl advised 4; internally at
the intersection turn movements there would
be 6.
'pen Space Connection between Councilwoman Morris wished verification that
:carper Lake and Parkwood the open space connection between Harper
Lake and Parkwood subdivision was still
lacking a portion that was owned by Homart.
Directors Rupp and Hioco verified this was
correct.
:onstruction Traffic Councilwoman Morris inquired what traffic
pattern would be uscd fcr the construction
