Collins, Boulder, and Loveland had <br /> used the various concepts in their downtowns. <br /> Ms. Kasza stated that she would like inpmut <br /> from all the downtown merchants, as well <br /> as council and planning commission comments , <br /> suggested that notes be made on the preliminary <br /> plan and brought back to her The planning <br /> staff of the plan wished to contact groups <br /> of 4-5 people who would be impacted by it <br /> and hopefully within the next few months be <br /> able to have contacted everyone involved and <br /> receive their comments. <br /> :Nunci1man Leary Inquired if the residents on Main St. would <br /> be contacted as well to get their feeling <br /> on the plan. Ms. Kasza advised that they would <br /> be. Mr. Leary commented he felt that the park- <br /> ing plan could be flexible so as to minimize <br /> displacing residential areas, etc. <br /> :entleman in the Audience Inquired if there would be any assurance if <br /> -:nancing Through a Mill Levy the downtown development was financed through <br /> a mill levy that it would be withdrawn when <br /> the plan is completed. <br /> Attorney Rautenstraus advised that it would <br /> depend on how the ballot issue was worded; <br /> would depend totally on the type financing <br /> that was attempted; or could possibly be <br /> a development group with the downtown area. <br /> It could be a mill levy or sales tax finan- <br /> cing. <br /> Badger Inquired what the $200, 000. 00 for downtown <br /> development in the City' s 1984 budget was <br /> for. Mayor Meier advised that it was his <br /> understanding the main improvement would be <br /> for parking for the downtown area. <br /> .;man in the Audience Suggested as a Main Street resident that <br /> some time be set aside for a public meeting <br /> and they be notified by a letter or through <br /> the newspaper so that they could come and <br /> voice their opinions and comment at an in- <br /> formal session. <br /> Ms. Kasza and Planner Lanternman stated that <br /> they would schedule a number of workshops <br /> to get input from everyone involved. <br /> :'gym Thompson, LDC Wished to thank Ms. Kasza and Mr. Lanternman <br /> for the excellent presentation and as a <br />
