•
MW - PALE - 3 -
3/29/84
G. 1984 STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT - AUTHORIZE CALL FOR BIDS
A copy of the various aspects of the street improvements
project proposed for 1984 is enclosed and we are requesting
that Council authorise us to call for bids on April 24th
for submittal to you for award at your first meeting in May
R. 1984 STREET CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - ALTERNATIVE FUTNDING
I had hoped to have and included in the packet, various
alternative funding sources that will allow us to proceed
with the projects that were contemplated for 1984. The
major ones of course, are McCaslin, both segments of South
Boulder Road, and Via Appia. If I am unable to complete
this at packet time, I will certainly provide that memo
by Monday. My problem is that I am waiting for information
to be developed on the computer that will outline these
alternatives.
I. 1984 WATER PLANT ENGINEERING -ALTERNATIVE FUNDING.
My quandry here is whether to proceed with the engineer-
ing on the Howard Berry Plant or the addition at the
existing plant. I mentioned previously to Council that
the Homart situation is a part of this. If this gets
resolved we would obviously go with the Howard Berry
construction because that is in the best interest of the
City. If not then we need to proceed with the engineer-
ing on the Plant expansion. I am attempting to develop
some alternatives that would allow us to do the engineer-
ing at both sites .
ITEM 12. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS
ITEM 13.
