CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Norbert A. Meier called the special meeting to order at 8:30 AM. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Absent: Staff Present : <br /> 141757—Wirbert Meier erg r uson Leon Burl, City Administrator <br /> John Leary, Mayor Pro-tem Karl Kasch, Director of <br /> Mike Cussen Public Works <br /> Betty Johnson Val Lieker, Plant Sup't. <br /> Richard Luce Curt Rautenstraus , City <br /> Susan Morris Attorney <br /> Joy McClard, Secretary <br /> Also present, Bill Schuler and Mark Klee, Rocky Mountain Consultants . <br /> Before the Council items were started, Mayor Meter stated the purpose <br /> of the Special Meeting was the status of Louisville Water System. <br /> He requested that the public input be limited to 2 or 3 minutes , and <br /> urged all to remain orderly. <br /> Approval of the Agenda was requested. Leary suggested the Agenda be <br /> modified as follows : <br /> Omit D, City Council Goals, <br /> Omit E. City Administrator, Evaluation <br /> and they be replaced as follows: <br /> Item C. Water Restriction - staff recommendation <br /> Item 0. Council comments and Recommendation <br /> Item E Public Hearing Input <br /> Item F. Discuss and approval of a water plan . <br /> All in favor of the agenda change. <br /> 3. GENERAL COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> A <br /> A. STATUS AND UPDATE, WATER PROBLEM <br /> Director of Public Works Karl Kasch said last Thursday, June 28, 1984, <br /> began the water crisis with the water moratorium. The filtration <br /> plant was built in 1934, updated in 1979 at a design capacity of <br /> 5.5 Million gallons per day. However, the design and reality is <br /> different. It is acutally producing 3.2 MGD. Today the reservoir <br /> is up to 22' , capacity is 24' . By Sunday morning it should be filled <br /> to capacity and then processing/filtration will begin. There 1s raw <br /> water, it is the filtration plant/remodeling which is being done at <br /> this time. The filter plant construction was to be completed by June 17, <br />
