i
8/7/84 Page -4-
ORCOG in 1981 and that service area change
was approved.
Urban Services Area Councilman Cussen felt that our urban services
area ought to be consistent with our city
limits.
Mr. Rupp stated that in 'some cases there may-
be a property within the services area, i.e.
the Warembourg property, but is not presently
within the city limits. There was a property
that had applied for annexation and certainly
met the conditions of meeting the service
area requirements and yet it wasn't in the
city limits.
Councilman Leary Commented that he thought it was possible to
have land that is not in the urban services
area, i.e. the city may wish to purchase land
for urban buffering that you would have no
intention of ever providing services to.
Speaking to Mr. Peabody he concurred with the
remarks made by Councilman Cussen as to the
purchase of the land; also that the comment
in Mr. _Peabody's letter that indicates that
this maybe appropriate for industrial zoning,
he disagreed with.
Councilmembers Johnson, Fauson, Morris and
Luce concurred with the remarks made by
Councilmen Leary and Cussen that there was
no money available to purchase the property
at this time.
BOULDER VALLEY PUBLIC Councilmembers had a copy of the letter of
SCHOOLS LETTER - WATER TAP request and a map of the location of the lot.
REQUEST Director Rupp advised council that this was
a recent request that came to Steve Ferris
in the Building Dept. for a water tap on lot
89 in the Mesa Point subdivision. This appli-
cation was not in the original group of 55
that was discussed by council several weeks
ago. They understood our position on building
permits at the present time and Mr. Ferris
informed them it would require a letter to
approach the Council on the matter.
Steve Ferris, Chief Building Mr. Ferris stated that there were 2 remaining
Inspector building permits of the 55 mentioned by Mr.
Rupp. He also stated that this is rather a
unique situation in that it is a spec houses
no one has applied for a loan, etc. What
the school wishes to do is to build a house
to teach VoTech students how this is done.
They would not be requesting a CO until June, 1985
