Fauson moved that Resolution g4 be adopted,
Johnson seconded and the motion was passed
unanimously.
RECESS At 8:45 p.a. , Mayor Meier called for a 10 minute
recess.
U.S.36 UPDATE Hundley related to Council that there would not be
a final document on the U.S. 36 Interchange prior
to the Public Hearing. The committee has indicated
what their preference and their recommendations
are for the Interchange but they will not have a
final document together until after the Public
Hearing.
John Rupp was unable to receive an extension of
the Public Hearing as per Council 's request. Luce
expressed his feelings that not having • document
ready for review prior to a Public Hearing was a
poor approach on the part of the committee.
Hundley asked Council to express their concerns
and give direction to staff regarding this issue
as the Public Meeting is February 20th and stall
will take these items to the meeting.
Luce commented that initially this was to be a
cooperative venture between the business
community, i .e. , STC, CTC, and the City of
Louisville and the City of Broomfield. This
project is still of prime importance to Louisville
and the City should not be subjected to any
development along 96th that may not be in our best
interest.
Leary expressed concern that land use must be
studied, not just an engineering study of an
interchange. Also , this is only a report and is
only a beginning of a more significant process.
Therefore, the City still has the ability discuss
these issues and try to resolve them in the next
step of the process.
HARPER LAKE UPDATE Hundley related to Council the public meetings
held to inform the public of the scope of the
Harper Lake project. Approximately 18 people
attended the two meeting.
Leary felt the attendance dessed the meeting•
successful.
6
