The survey would provide a good backdrop
to Council's budget deliberations for the CIP
priorities and needs as identified by a random
sampling of residents. Probably 300 surveys will
be sent out with the hope that there would be at
least a 35% return.
COQMCxL COr*UTS Cussen reported that the Finance committee has
scheduled a meeting with Mr. Hundley on June 7th
and will report at the next meeting.
Luce received a complaint regarding amplified
music coming from Main Street South Restaurant and
Lounge on South Main and asked if this was within
the approved City zoning for this site and use.
Rautenstraus replied stating that there had been
• questions regarding the previous establishment's
use of the liquor license and zoning. There is a
criteria that they have to meet relative to
percentage of food sales versus liquor sales as
they have a Rotel a Restaurant License. They are
also in a sone where their use as a restaurant is
a non-conforming use and they are not allowed to
expand their use. They can not change from being
a restaurant to being strictly a bar, disco, etc.
After some discussion, the City Clerk was directed
to send Main Street South a letter detailing the
allowed uses and notify them that there have been
complaints and a follow-up investigation will be
in order if there are further problems.
Other Councilmembers received calls regarding the
weekend commotion. The event was for a Muscular
Dystrophy Fund Raising Campaign and there was a
very large crowd.
Fauson asked the status of the management
agreement at Main Street South. There has been a
Manager's Agreement filed and this person hopes to
buy the business at some point in time. A
Manager's Agreement allows a person to manage a
business for the owner. Staff will check as to the
status of the agreements.
Johnson extended a special thanks to the
Basketball and Wrestling Clubs, the Explorer's and
August Rioco for their part in cleaning the
various medians and subdivision entry ways in
Louisville.
10
