It is Public Works recommendation that all bids
be rejected due to the excess of the estiaated
contract cost. Staff is working with Rocky
Mountain Consultants to analyse and evaluate an
alternate east of Eighvay 42 and once that
evaluation is complete, staff would request
permission to re-bid the project.
Mayor Pauson coved that Council reject all bids
for the lhorth Louisville interceptor Sewer.
Ssyaanski seconded. Unanimous.
TIMPORARY ©8E PERMIT APPLXCA ZCM - FROSTIER MATERIALS -
PUBLIC WRING Rautenstraus recommended that the Public Hearing
be opined and a motion to continue it would be in
order.
Mayor !'auson opened the Public Searing.
Rautenstraus stated that notice of Public Soaring
was published on May 23, 1986, and both the
applicant and the City are recoa:mending that the
Public Hearing be continued to the next Council
Meeting.
Mayor Pauson saved that the Public Searing on the
Temporary Use Permit for Frontier Gravel be
continued. Carnival seconded. Unanimous.
IRFORMATIOM - SCHaDUL1H? SUUT DOWN OP WATER
TREATMENT PLAIIT Phare explained that as part of the addition of a
high sone pump to the Sigh Zone Puap Station, it
is necessary to disconnect electrical power to the
pumps. During the shutdown, the contractor shall
install electrical buss bars between the existing
motor control center panels and the new panel.
The shut down will occur on June 6th between 2:30
a.a. and 4:00 a.m. The service interruption means
that there will be no water pumped to the high
sons and aid-ion. areas while the work is being
done. The fire department has been notified and
alternate plans have been devised. Phare
requested that people in these zones discontinue
use of water during the identified times to help
eliminate air in the lines when the pumps are
started back up.
Phare explained that letters were not sent to
homeowners due to the numbers involved. Sowever,
Phare felt that through the press and this public
notice, people will be aware of the shut down plus
the hours chosen to conduct this procedure would
cause only :animal inconvenience to those
residents.
d
