They have
played for several years and are greatly enjoyed
by residents. The amount is approximately $500.
Nundley suggested that the money was =budgeted
and would need to be appropriated from the
Contingency Fund.
Mohr coved that the City of Louisville participate
in the July 4th Celebration by supporting the
University Association Orchestra in an amount not
to exceed $500. Mayor Fauson seconded.
Sackett stated that be was not in favor of
anything outside the budget and the City must be
careful not to incur unnecessary and =budgeted
expenditures. Sackett would approve it if it
could be looked at by the 'Finance Committee and
preapproved by them.
fundley stated that in prior years money had been
budgeted for this event through joint sponsorship
but money was not budgeted for this year.
Mohr agreed with Sackett in general principal but
feels this is an exception since it was not dealt
with during the budget process last year.
`Inassuch as the businesses, individuals and
services organisations in the community in one
form or another have bemuse involved in this
thnngg, I think it appropriate that we get back
involved at this minimal level.•
15
