The applicant asked that the comments made during
the presentation of Ordinance 6906 be a matter of
record for this Ordinance also.
Mayor Pauson asked for public comments regarding
this Ordinance.
Margaret Bornbostel stated that she felt crossing
Q.S. 36 was a mistake and that it would take away
the feeling of openness that brought many of
Louisville's residents here.
Carnival felt that some people are getting a wrong
impression that this Council doesn't care about
buffering. This particular area doesn't bring in
tax dollars if left open and that is a major issue
and concern of this Council.
Sackett wants people in this community to know
that 'we are not trying to hide anything from
these• regarding this or any future annexation
proposals. Iundley concurred that the only other
annexation request made to his south of p.8. 36
was by Mr. Carlson for a 1500 acre residential
development of 8,000 units and Mundley conveyed to
him that the City was not interested in having a
City of equal size on the south side of D.S. 36.
Ssymanaki stated that he is extremely interested
in buffering but to say U.B. 36 should not be
crossed doesn't ensure that development won't
happen there. "Closing our eyes to the
environment around us won't solve any problems at
all.'
Mayor Pauson closed the public hearing and called
for a motion.
Mohr moved that Ordinance 0907 be approved on
final reading with those conditions spelled out in
the approval of Ordinance 6906. Anderson
seconded. By Roll Call Vote, Ordinance 6907 was
adopted unanimously.- , • I.
O DIMAMC2 6906 -- BINLLA/MNMEICK ANNEXATION III -
PUDLIC MARINO Pautenstraus read by title Ordinance 4906, An
Ordinance annexing to the City of Louisville,
Colorado, a parcel of approximately 46.22 acres
located south of U.P. highway 36, in Section 19
which is owned by George V. and Equng S. Menkick.'
Proper publication and notice of public hearing
were established.
Mayor Pauson opened the public hearing.
10
