Mayor Fauson called for a vote on the motion as
stated. Unanimous.
AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE MOWING
EQUIPMENT Brisko requested approval to purchase 1 Toro
Groundsmaster riding mower, 1 Ransoms 36• walk-
behind mower, and 4 Green machine weed trimmers.
Total cost of the items is $11,450. Dal prices
are State Bid prices.
Nundley stated that the original CIF outlined
$34,500 and these items are the Minimum needed in
Community Services this year. Also, the reason
these items are being funded through the CIE, is
that in the past, these types of purchases have
been financed with revenue sharing monies. The
City this year lost approximately $100,000 in
revenue sharing funds which necessitated these
Capital purchases. Hundley stated that ideally
they do need to be in the General Fund and recom-
mended that this be a goal to work toward.
Mayor tauaon moved that Council approve the
purchase of mowing equipment in the amount of
411,450. Scarpella seconded. Unanimous.
AUTHORIZATION TO OBTAIN PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES -
DRAINAGBWAY A Phare explained that Public Works requested
proposals for professional engineering services to
review and revise the master drainageway plan for
Drainageway A (extending from the Hilltop
Subdivision on the west to the industrial and
commercial area along Highway 42 south of South
Boulder Road). The proposals identify and
optimise solutions to current inadequate storm
drainage facilities within the basin. Four firms
submitted proposals addressing the scope of study
with WRC Inc. including more detailed work and
evaluations. WIC Inc. looked at the impacts
to downstream facilities and have worked with
City staff in 1986 updating the water distribution
and supply master plan.
Phare recommended that Council authorize the
Public Works Department to retain WRC Inc. to
review, update and modify the Drainageway A Master
Drainage Plan in accordance with their proposal
for professional services.
Mayor Fauson so moved and Sackett seconded.
Unanimous.
APPROVAL OP SCHOOL LAND DIDICATIOM
AGREEMENT Wanush stated that at the March 16th Council
Meeting Council discussed the draft agreement
4
