drawn to RR and approved RR Boning. A condition
included in the annexation was that no more than
two lots be created from the existing one lot.
The site of these lots are approximately 4 acres
and 1.3 acres. The existing house would be on the
larger lot.
Mayor Fauson moved that Resolution 46 be approved.
Mohr seconded. Unanimous.
UPDATE - GOLF COURSE
11EGATIATlOMB Hundley stated that two weeks ago, the City was
notified by John Lohre, of First Municipal Leasing
Corporation, that his group, the Gunderson Group,
was no longer interested in negotiating with the
City for a golf course on Davidson Mesa. eundley
stated that several alternatives should be
considered by Council to proceed with bring a golf
course to Louisville: 1) cease golf course
negotiation efforts until the Coal Creek Ranch
project is reviewed and a disposition made; 2)
commence immediate negotiations with one or more
of the four groups which have expressed a
continuing interest in developing a golf course in
Louisville; 3) commence advertising for
alternative proposals for developing a golf course
in Louisville; 4) work with the National Golf
Foundation to design a formal process to solicit,
evaluate, and negotiate final agreements with
prospective golf course developers-
Hundley stated that the last suggested alternative
might be the most realistic in that the Foundation
has a wealth of experience and can advise
Louisville on the best way to provide the City
with a golf course and then come back to Council
regarding the tern of any proposed agreement.
The National Golf Foundation is a non-profit group
and has been in business for 51 years dedicated to
the development of golf courses in the United
States. The Foundation is the clearing house for
any and all types of information regarding golf
courses and will serve as consultants and protect
Louisville's interest. If Louisville should so
choose, the Foundation will locate an architect,
evaluate and recommend different financial
arrangements, i.e., leases, revenue bonds, etc.,
find the best construction companies, and prepare
bids all in Louisville's best interest.
Sackett stated that he would be refraining from
voting on this issue.
6
