Bids
received reflect favorable contract prices and
were considerably less than the engineer's
estimate for the project. Previously the City had
authorised a contract with Urban Storm Drainage
and Flood Control District for a project with
projected lower costs. In order to revise the
current agreement with Urban Storm Drainage and
Flood Control District, it will be necessary to
approve this agreement reflecting as bid cost for
completing the detention pond project.
Anderson expressed concern regarding engineer's
estimates being off by nearly 9200,000 on a
$400,000 project. We need to get a little
tighter on these numbers coming in so we have a
better picture. .."
9
