Unanimous. <br /> ORDINANCE 0939 - SALARY STRUCTURES - <br /> PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance 9939, "An <br /> Ordinance amending Title 2, Chapter 2.68 of the <br /> Louisville Code concerning Grade <br /> Classifications, and Salary Structures.' <br /> Publication and proper notice of public hearing were <br /> established. <br /> Sharon Asti-Caranci reviewed the intent of the <br /> Ordinance stating that Council desired to compensate <br /> the City employees at a compa-ratio of 1.00 creating <br /> a competitive and equitable pay system. Council's <br /> goal is to implement this over a period of three to <br /> four years. In order for the City to continue to <br /> maintain its pay system, the salary structure for <br /> 1988 should be adjusted by 2.5%. Ordinance 0939 <br /> outlines the salary structure that was developed <br /> from the 2.58 adjustment. <br /> Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing. <br /> Mayor Fauson asked if anyone wished to speak either <br /> in favor of or in opposition to Ordinance 1939. <br /> None. <br /> Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and called <br /> for motion. Szymanski moved that Ordinance #939 <br /> be adopted. Scarpella seconded.
