Louisville has a Water fund that supports 125 miles of water mains, treating and moving <br />nearly 3.0 million gallons to residents on average per day at two water treatment plants. <br />The Wastewater Fund maintains 118 miles of sewage lines, which ships sewage to the Coal <br />Creek sewage treatment plant. <br />.:. The local water shed for the City's water supply is South Boulder Creek Basin and its <br />supply is diverted at Eldorado Springs then treated and delivered to the residents of <br />Louisville. The City also obtains water from Cater Lake. <br />.:. Recreation is a high priority in Louisville, with 27 parks, one 18 hole golf course, 11 bocci <br />ball courts, 2 swimming pools, 1 arts/cultural center, 11 tennis courts, 1 in-line skating rink <br />and 1 skate park. The Recreation/Senior Center offers over 1,644 recreational <br />opportunities for adults, seniors and youth during a given year including; ballet, Kids-Nite- <br />Out, music, arts, gymnastics, swimming and all types of sports. Overall attendance (daily <br />visits/recreation programs) is projected to be 268,174 participants in 2005. A new 17 acre <br />community park should be available for use by the spring of 2006. <br />.:. Louisville has 185 lane miles of streets, which the City repairs, replaces, sweeps and clears <br />of snow. The City also funds the replacement of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. <br />.:. Louisville has a Moody's rating of "Aaa" for its Water Resources Revenue Bonds, and a <br />Standards & Poors Insured Rating of "AAA" and an Underlying Rating of "A" for its Sales <br />Tax Revenue Bonds. <br />.:. Louisville maintains internal service funds, which allocate the cost of replacing vehicles <br />and computer equipment to spread the costs of replacements over time. This includes a <br />building maintenance fund used for repairs to the City's buildings and a fleet fund for <br />replacement of city vehicles. <br /> 3 <br />
