...

this parkway if this happens?

Hornbostel: I think what will happen on that is, this has a
long road to go yet, this has to go through the
legislature yet. After this it would be sent to
the vote of the people, and then that is something
the people would have to decide if they would want
to be taxed for. Our mission was to bring
something that was saleable to the public,
something that met the needs of as many people as
possible, but yet a compromise. By the time this
all goes through we would know about the airport
and if the airport is going to go through.

Davidson: I think by looking at this parkway as a airport
access way is probable too narrow a view. It is
actually as important in the basic road structure
in the west Denver Metro area. I think what we
are looking at is a funding device to construct
this road.

Carnival: On Exhibit B the alignment indicates that it is a
preliminary corridor that we are looking at by
March 31 and as per the map that is attached, the
preliminary corridor looks to me like its going
down 96th street and Dillon, and even though they
are allowing the leeway to move 400 to 800 feet
one way or the other. Down under the access
control it identifies interchanges and 96th and
Dillon road is not on this, then on Exhibit C it
does deal with the Louisville interchange at 96th
and Dillon, but doesn't real say its a part of the
agreement.

Hornbostel: 96th and Dillon is considered a special design
issue, we are off on a separate thing. Even
though we are not addressed in here, we are being
addressed. Also do we want to be specific on the
issues that concern us?

Carnival: It seems like everyone else is being specific and
Louisville is not doing anything.

Hornbostel: There are a lot of things that are still being
discussed and this agreement changes daily.

PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING NORTHWEST PARKWAY - TO RECEIVE PUBLIC
INPUT PRIOR TO FINALIZING THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS ON THE
PROPOSED MTDC ALTERNATIVE

Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing.
