Report from the Director of Library & Museum Services:

Beth Barrett reported that she and Bridget Bacon visited the Carnegie Library, a branch of the
Boulder Public Library, to ask for permission to scan the County Assessor records pertaining to
Louisville. The Carnegie will give the City ready access. A volunteer has been identified along
with a possible scanner and laptop to use. The work will need to be performed at the Camegie
Library. The records are good and contain a great deal of information. Many have photos taken
in 1948 and many have floor plans. The vision is to eventually have all of this information
accessible on line for public access. In other news, voters in the Town of Superior voted to tax
themselves to support the Library, which is good news. The City of Louisville has hired a new
Planning Director, Troy Ross, a Louisville resident, who will start in May. (The Planning
Department oversees historic preservation activities in Louisville.) Finally, there are two
upcoming workshops in May:

City of Louisville
Louisville Historical Museum 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027
303-665-9048 (phone) 303-335-4550 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov
