II', ',1: ~ ~~ Historical Commission Subcommittee Meeting Minutes May 4, 2010 Louisville Public Library Board Room 951 Spruce St. 4:30 PM Commission Members Present: Dan Mellish, Anne Robinson, and Jennifer Strand. Also Present: Beth Barrett, Director of Library & Museum Services, and Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator In this meeting, the subcommittee worked on the outline for the Study Session with City Council on June 8th. Possible items for Meeting Packet . Cover with a scanned historic photo . Chart of Louisville Historical Museum staffing compared with other cities . Performance measures - 2009 . Senor Ts report that Bridget Bacon wrote for the HPC, to show that research on buildings utilizes information and photos from the Museum's collection . Council communication . Possibly a Louisville Historian Thanks for what the City Council has helped us accomplish. . Building quality . Painting of buildings . Sign painting on Jacoe Store . Fire protection The Commission and the Museum have accomplishments: . Oral histories (could quantify hours, numbers of interviews, ones slated for upcoming) . Holiday Home Tour . Lots of new members . Louisville Historian . History book club . Museum provides historical research assistance and resources . Programming - landmarking workshop, Rocky Flats program, upcoming WWII program . Carnegie County Assessor Records being copied - relates to land marking program . Upcoming walking tours .
