<br />..,1 <br />PROCLAMATION - BANNED BOOKS WEEK <br />Mayor Fauson declared the week of September 28 - October 5, 1991, as "Banned Books <br />Week." <br />PROCLAMATION - SEPTEMBER IS LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH <br />Mayor Fauson declared the month of September as "Library Card Sign-up Month." <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1051, SERIES 1991 - INCREASING THE MAXIMUM PENALTIES <br />FOR VIOLATION OF ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOSITION OF <br />COSTS - 2ND READING - PUBLIC HEARING <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1051, Series 199, "An Ordinance increasing the <br />maximum penalties for violation of ordinances of the City of Louisville and providing for <br />the imposition of costs." <br />Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing. Certification was established. <br />Mayor Fauson called for public comments. NONE <br />Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing. <br />Davidson moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1051, Series 1991, seconded by Sackett. Roll call <br />was taken on the motion. Motion passed 6-0. <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - FEE REDUCTION - LOUISVILLE FIRE PROTECTION <br />DISTRICT - RECREATION CENTER PARTIAL REFUND <br />Troy Greeley - Louisville Fire Department, 1186 Franklin Avenue, Louisville, Colorado <br />80027 <br />Greeley gave a brief overview of the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department and its <br />volunteer efforts in fund raising and the volunteer efforts throughout the year. The Fire <br />Fighters have an annual picnic in the park, this year they had it at the Louisville Recreation <br />Center. There were costs associated with having the event at the Recreation Center and <br />the Fire Fighters would like to try to recover some of the cost. Greeley asked Council if <br />they would consider reimbursing the cost of the room rentals, $210.00. Greeley also <br />requested the donation of four annual passes to the Recreation Center for use by the whole <br />department. Greeley explained that he had contacted the City of Boulder and that the Fire <br />Department receives passes to Flatirons Athletic Clubs. The Police Department, Sheriffs <br />3 <br />
