Commissioner Williams made a motion to approve the minutes <br />Approved. <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: None <br />Reports of Commission: <br />Staff updates <br />Revitalization Commission <br />Minutes <br />November 15, 2023 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />Commissioner Tofte seconded. <br />The Economic Vitality Specialist presented an update on new businesses in the URA, the BAP <br />program, DeLo West rezoning, and the Downtown Vision Plan. <br />There was a discussion around the Downtown Vision Plan and how engagement will be pursued <br />with the LRC and the community. LRC requested an early meeting with the consultant since <br />LRC is funding the project. It was noted that DBA engagement is also important. The Director of <br />Community Development mentioned that one of the first engagements will be a stakeholder <br />walk of downtown and LRC, DBA, as well as other stakeholders will be invited to attend. <br />Downtown Business Association Updates <br />Commissioner Williams provided an update on the last DBA meeting. Discussions at the <br />meeting included the ice rink and how to activate downtown and engage both business owners <br />and property owners. Commissioner Williams expressed concern that the programs in place <br />focus on property owners rather than small business owners. She acknowledged that support of <br />small businesses may be more of Economic Vitality concern. <br />DBA President Rick Kron provided additional updates from the DBA. He provided a status <br />update on the installation of the skating rink infrastructure. The DBA has completed two surveys <br />on closing Main Street with overall support of closing the street in support of businesses. <br />LaFarge hasn't been contacted yet and RTD will also need to be consulted for bus service. The <br />DBA will review an email sent by the EV Specialist regarding faQade improvement and provide <br />input to LRC. <br />Chamber of Commerce Updates: The Parade of Lights is on December 1. <br />Commissioner Comments on Items not on the agenda: <br />Commissioner Williams noted that the Cinnabar space was purchased by CU and this feels <br />positive for the community. <br />This is Graham's last meeting and Chair Adler expressed appreciation for his input and insight <br />during his tenure with the Commission. <br />Business Matters of Commission: <br />Resolution 23-04: Adopting the Louisville Revitalization Commission's 2024 Budget <br />The Economic Vitality Specialist presented the resolution to adopt the FY 2024 LRC budget. <br />Details were provided in the meeting packet and the final budget was presented by the <br />Economic Vitality Specialist. The City Council approved this amendment as presented at the <br />November 6 meeting. Staff recommends adopting the resolution. <br />Agenda Packet P. 4 <br />
