ORDINANCE No. 1285, SERIES 1998, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PLACE A TIME LIMIT ON APPROVALS OF <br />FINAL DEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PLANNED <br />UNIT DEVELOPMENTS -2nd Reading - Public Hearing (Published Louisville Times <br />9/5/98) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney, read by title only, Ordinance No. 1285, Series 1998, An Ordinance <br />Amending Chapter 17.28 of the Louisville Municipal Code to Place a Time Limit on Approvals <br />of Final Development Plans for Commercial and Industrial Planned Unit Developments. <br /> <br />Davidson called for staff introduction. <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that this Ordinance, if authorized, will amend § 17.28.200 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code to place a time limit on commercial and industrial PUDs <br />approved after November 9, 1998. <br /> <br />He explained the proposed time limit is for 36 months after City Council approval of the PUD <br />plan. After 36 months from the date of the PUD approval, no building permits would be issued <br />unless an extension of time is approved pursuant to § 17.28.210.B The code section triggers a <br />formal PUD public hearing process which would require all requests to be reviewed by Planning <br />Commission prior to action by City Council. A similar time limit of 36 months was placed on <br />residential PUDs by Ordinance No. 1192, Series 1995. At first reading on September 1, 1998, <br />Council requested that the Ordinance be revised to reflect the inclusion of industrial PUDs. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing and called for anyone in the audience wishing to speak on <br />Ordinance 1285, Series 1998. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments and questions. <br /> <br />Howard asked Wood what the current time limit is for commercial PUDs. <br /> <br />Wood replied that there is currently no time limit. <br /> <br />Sisk moved Council adopt Ordinance No. 1285, Series 1998, An Ordinance Amending the <br />Louisville Municipal Code to Place a Time Limit on Approvals of Final Development Plans for <br /> <br /> <br />
