<br />nor alterations which have compromised the building's historic character in the past 50 <br />years. <br /> <br />According to the applicant, the only changes made on the property are: <br />. Restoration of the front porch using the original design <br />. Replacement of soffit and fascia <br />. Replacement of siding and roofing material <br /> <br />The windows and doors appear to be in the original location according to historical <br />records. The front facing windows have stained glass treatments that were done <br />sometime mid-century. These details, although not of the original 1909 construction, <br />are original from a later time period and provides significance to the history of the <br />structure. <br /> <br />CURRENT USE: <br />The building is currently the home of the applicant Scott Eichorn and Jill Esposito. <br /> <br />HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE AND CRITERIA FOR LISTING AS LOCAL <br />LANDMARK: <br />Landmarks must be at least 50 years old and meet one or more of the criteria for <br />architectural, social or geographic/environmental significance as described in Louisville <br />Municipal Code (LMC) Section 15.36.050(A). The City Council may exempt a landmark <br />from the age standard if it is found to be exceptionally important in other significance <br />criteria: <br /> <br />1. Historic landmarks shall meet one or more of the following criteria: <br />a. Architectural. <br />(1) Exemplifies specific elements of an architectural style or period. <br />(2) Example of the work of an architect or builder who is recognized for <br />expertise nationally, statewide, regionally, or locally. <br />Demonstrates superior craftsmanship or high artistic value. <br />Represents an innovation in construction, materials or design. <br />Style particularly associated with the Louisville area. <br />Represents a built environment of a group of people in an era of <br />history that is culturally significant to Louisville. <br />Pattern or grouping of elements representing at least one of the <br />above criteria. <br />Significant historic remodel. <br /> <br />(3) <br />(4) <br />(5) <br />(6) <br /> <br />(7) <br /> <br />(8) <br />b.
