PAGE TWO <br />SUBJECT:JULY 6, 2010 <br />DATE:APPROVAL TO USE $21,000 FROM THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />FUNDS AS A MATCH TO A STATE HISTORICAL FUND SURVEY <br />GRANT <br />Preservation, and the City of Louisville. Only contractors who have successfully completed <br />surveys and who understand the specifics required for this project and the details required for <br />the forms will be considered. <br />For the Historical and Architectural Inventory Forms, the contractor will include all information <br />required, including, but not limited to: <br />Identifying information; <br />Geographic information; <br />Architectural description; <br />Architectural history; <br />Historical Associations <br />; <br />Determination of eligibility for national, state, and local landmarking; <br />Current photographs ofeach building; <br />For the Cultural Resource Reevaluation Forms, the contractor will review and update all <br />information for the 43 surveys completed in 2000 for Jefferson Place. <br />Should this be approved, staff would work to hire a consultant for the project and sign the <br />contract with the State by September. Staff estimates completion of the project in the Spring of <br />2012 as the grant needs to be complete within 18 months from the date of signing the contract. <br />Staff and the Historic Preservation Commission are asking the Council to approve the $21,000 <br />needed to accept the grant and complete the project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />$21,000 from the Historic Preservation Fund from account #033-543-53970-00 Contingency. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the use of $21,000 from the Historic Preservation Fund as matching funds for the <br />Intensive Level Survey of the Jefferson Place Subdivision. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.Award letter from the State Historical Fund <br />2.Grant application <br />3.Map of the Jefferson Place Subdivision <br />4.Architectural Inventory Form <br />5.Cultural Resource Reevaluation Form <br />42 <br /> <br />
