<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 19, 2010 <br />City Hall <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 <br />PM <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> –Chairperson Mike Koertje called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. <br />Roll Call <br /> Commission Members Present: <br />Mike Koertje, Melanie Julian Muckle, Peter Stewart, Steven <br />Williams, Steve Poppitz and Heather Lewis. <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Laurel Tofte <br />City Representatives: <br />Sean McCartney, Principal Planner <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Koertje asked if there were any modifications to the agenda as presented. <br />Approval of Minutes from March 15, 2010 <br />Koertje stated the minutes attached for review do not appear to be the right <br />meeting minutes for the March 15, 2010 meeting. He recommended the <br />approval of the March 15, 2010 meeting minutes be continued until May 17, 2010 <br />so staff can revise. <br />HPC approved request by voice vote. <br /> <br />Public Comments on items not on the Agenda – none <br />Presentation – Michael Menaker, Downtown Sign standards <br />Michael Menaker presented his PowerPoint presentation to the commission. <br />In the presentation, Menaker recommended the following modifications to the <br />sign code: <br /> <br /> Current sign area standards are too limiting. <br /> <br /> Sandwich boards need to have more design standards because current <br />sandwich boards are not very attractive. <br /> <br /> Lighting should be address: more neon, halo back lighting. <br /> <br />City of Louisville <br />City Manager’s Office 7 <br />49 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4536 (phone) 303.335.4550 (fax) www.ci.louisville.co.us <br /> <br /> <br />
