City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 20, 2010 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION – REAL PROPERTY ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION <br />– REAL PROPERTY IN LOUISVILLE <br />(Louisville Code of Ethics, Section 5-2(c)CRS 24-6-402(4)(a) Authorized Topics) <br />The City Manager requested the City Council convene an Executive Session for the <br />purpose of consideration of real property acquisition and dispositions, associated with <br />potential acquisition and/or disposition of real property located in Louisville. <br />City Clerk Varra read Section 2.90.050 “Public Statement” of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code, which governs the topics permissible in an Executive Session. <br />City Attorney Light stated the authority for an Executive Session: Louisville Code of <br />Ethics, Section 5-2(c)provides Executive Session for the purpose of consideration of <br />Real Property Acquisitions and Dispositions, Associated with Potential Acquisition <br />and/or Disposition of Real Property located in Louisville, but only as to appraisals, value <br />estimates and strategy. The Colorado Open Meeting Law (CRS 24-6-402(4) (a), also <br />authorizes Executive Session. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved the City Council convene an Executive Session for the <br />purpose of consideration of potential acquisition and/or disposition of real property <br />located in or around the City of Louisville, but only as to appraisals, value estimates and <br />discussion of strategyfor potential acquisition or disposition as authorized by the <br />Charter and Statute, noted by the City Attorney.TheExecutive Sessionwill include the <br />City Council, City Manager,City Attorney,Open Space Coordinator and Parks and <br />Recreation Director. CouncilorDaltonseconded the motion. All were in favor. The <br />Council went into executive session at 8:15p.m. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUED <br />Mayor Sisk called the meeting back to order at 8:45p.m. <br />REPORT – DISCUSSION/DIRECTION/ACTION <br />Real Property Acquisition and Dispositions – Real Property in Louisville <br />City Attorney Light reported in Executive Session, the City Council discussed real <br />property acquisition and dispositionsand gave direction to the City Manager and Staff <br />with respect to strategy for potential property acquisition.
