C. Submit spandrel glazing sample and performance specifications for approval by Owner <br />prior to performing the work. Submittals shall include: <br />1. Glazing sample <br />2. U- Value, SHGC, and Visible Light Transmittance <br />D. Check existing sloped curtain wall system and notify Owner or any failures or <br />deficiencies prior to installing new glazing units. <br />E. New painted ceiling assembly to be installed under existing sloped curtain wall by others <br />after sloped spandrel glazing is completed. <br />PART 5 PROTECTION AND CLEANING <br />5.01 PROTECTION AND CLEANING <br />A. Protection: Protect installed product's finish surfaces from damage during construction. <br />Protect aluminum curtain wall system from damage from grinding and polishing <br />compounds, plaster, lime, acid, cement, or other harmful contaminants. <br />B. Cleaning: Repair or replace damaged installed products. Clean installed products in <br />accordance with manufacturer's instructions prior to owner's acceptance. Remove <br />construction debris from project site and legally dispose of debris. <br />PART 6 SCHEDULE <br />6.01 Contractor will schedule with Aquatics Supervisor to make sure that all work is <br />performed safely and will not interfere with the Aquatics Program. It is anticipated that <br />most work can be completed during normal business hours, with the proper placement <br />of safety barriers. <br />6.02 Contractor will schedule curtain wall removal and replacement such that the backside of <br />the structural steel is available for the application of protective coating. <br />8 <br />Natatorium Window Replacement Exhibit A <br />42 <br />
