<br />Horticultural & Forestry Advisory Board <br />Agenda <br />May 6,2010 <br />Page 2 of2 <br />XII. 2010 Arbor Day - it was a good turnout, if the weather had been better more <br />people may have come. Clean-up went well. <br /> <br />XIII. Chris has given CTC grant check to Mike Frontczak for deposit into Friends of the <br />Louisville Arboretum 501 c3 bank account. This will be used for planting trees at the <br />Arboretum in the Fall of 2010. Future funds could be raised by completing the Giving <br />Garden and selling path bricks as out-lined in the Arbo Master plan. <br /> <br />XIV. Carol O'Meara's talk June 3, 2010- possible subject matter: food production <br />gardening, appropriate types of vegetables and things you will encounter. Possible <br />advertising effort at Street Fair, free seeds will be given out (Ellen's heirloom tomatoes) <br />along with bottles and t-shirts (Chris). The time will be 6:00 pm. - 8:00 pm. with Q & A <br />starting at 7:30 pm. We will put a picture of the Arboretum plan on an easel at the talk. <br />HFAB will set up a table in front with freebies on it and solicit $5 donations. <br /> <br />XV. Discussion items for Next Meeting - August 5, 2010 - Discuss fund raising at the <br />Street Fair, Discuss possible agenda for future meeting with Planning Director, Troy <br />Russ. <br /> <br />XVI. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm. <br />
