These new enhancements would be funded by a proposed sales tax <br /> that would appear on the November ballot. <br /> Council members discussed how the new transit services might benefit Louisville <br /> residents as well as how the funding would be administered. <br /> Presentation - Historic Preservation Commission Preservation Incentives <br /> Heather Lewis, Mike Koertje, and Melanie Muckle of the Historic Preservation <br /> Commission gave an update on the number of demolitions in Old Town and asked the <br /> City Council to help brainstorm ideas that would encourage preservation of historic <br /> buildings without requiring a financial commitment from the City. In particular, the <br /> Commission members inquired about zoning changes that would benefit building owners <br /> who choose to add on to existing historic homes rather than razing them.
