Call to Order - City Manager Bill Simmons called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> City Council: Council members: Ron Sackett, Sheri Marsella, Dave <br /> Clabots, Bob Muckle, Frost Yarnell, and Mayor Pro <br /> Tem Don Brown (7:15 p.m.) <br /> Absent: Mayor Charles Sisk <br /> Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br /> Julie Boyd, Deputy City Manager <br /> Heather Balser, Assistant City Manager for <br /> Governmental Relations <br /> Bruce Goodman, Police Chief <br /> Belinda Dogan-Pishner, Administrative Assistant <br />2. Public Comments <br />None <br />3. Meeting with Louisville Fire Protection District Board of Directors & <br /> Fire Chief <br />Council met with the following members of the Louisville Fire Protection District: <br />Chief Tim Parker, David Yost, John Sackett, and Chris Schmidt. <br />Fire Chief Tim Parker provided a brief history of the Louisville Fire Protection <br />District (LFPD) and explained that the LFPD is a Special District, staffed entirely <br />by volunteer firefighters. He presented an overview of the LFPD State of the <br />Department report, covering various statistics from 1991 through 2005. <br />Chief Parker explained that in order to maintain current service levels, the LFPD <br />Board will be approaching the voters for a mil levy increase during the District's <br />Special Election in May.
