I: City Council City of Louisville Study Session Summary January 24, 2006 City Hall, Council Chambers 749 Main Street 7:00 PM The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were present - City Council Present: Mayor Charles Sisk, Councilmembers: Sackett, Clabots, Marsella, Yarnell, Muckle, Brown (7:15 p.m.) Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager Heather Balser, Asst. City Manager for Govt. Relations Ken Johnstone, Principal Planner Belinda Goebel, Administrative Assistant Discussion -Implementation - 2005 Citywide Comprehensive Plan Bill Simmons, City Manager, provided a brief overview on implementation of the Comprehensive Plan. Ken Johnstone reviewed opportunity areas 1-7, referring to the maps included in the City Council Study Session packets. He explained that the staff communication focuses on Chapters 3 & 4 of the comprehensive plan, implementation and phasing, as well as the population growth projection table. Council asked Ken Johnstone to identify the specific locations of the Schempp Parcel, the Hamm Property, and the Alkonis Property. Discussion centered on the number of residential use-by-right units authorized under the North Louisville General Development Plan. The process for reevaluating the Comprehensive Plan was discussed. Discussion included whether Council could discuss and redefine certain portions of the plan or whether Council would be required to discuss and evaluate the entire plan.
