<br /> ..1 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 889 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS <br /> OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> CONCERNING ASSAULT AND HARASSMENT <br /> AND ADDING A SECTION GOVERNING THE <br /> USE OF FIGHTING WORDS WITHIN THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need <br />exists to amend the Louisville Municipal Code provision relative <br />to the charge of assault; and; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need <br />exists to amend the Louisville Municipal Code provision relative <br />to the charge of harassment: and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need <br />exists to add a provision regarding the use of fighting words. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO. <br /> Section 1. Section 9.32.020 of Chapter 9.32 is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> Section 2. The following section, 9.32.020, Assault, is <br />hereby added to Chapter 9.32 of the Louisville Municipal Code as <br />follows: <br /> 9.32.020 <br /> Assault <br /> It is unlawful for any person to knowingly, recklessly <br />or with criminal negligence, to: <br /> A. Cause bodily injury to another person; or, <br /> B. Strike, shove, kick, or otherwise touch or subject <br />another person to physical contact. <br /> Section 3. Section 9.32.030 of Chapter 32 is hereby <br /> - <br />repealed. <br /> Section 4. The following section, 9.32.030, Harassment, <br />is hereby added to Chapter 9.32 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />as follows: <br /> It is unlawful for any person, with the intent to <br />harass, annoy, or alarm another person, to: <br />
