Increase in the minimum access widths <br /> where such widths are not adequate for fire or rescue operations may <br /> be required. <br /> 15.12.080 PLACEMENT OF FIRE HYDRANTS. ( A ) Fire Hydrants <br /> shall be placed at each street intersection and on each side of any <br /> divided highway, roadway or street, wherever possible. ( B) In a <br /> residential area, there shall be no more than 500 feet fire access <br /> distance between hydrants. No residential unit shall be more than <br /> 250 feet, fire access distance, from the nearest hydrant. ( C ) In <br /> multi-family, industrial, business or commercial areas, there shall <br /> be no more than 300 feet fire access distance between hydrants.
