She also recommended to keep <br />“night sky” in mind when recommending lighting types. <br />Poppitz stated there should be more neon downtown. <br />Mural discussion <br />Muckle recommended murals should be permitted. <br />Stewart stated this is where a historical sign should have merit. <br />Koertje agreed that mural signs should be permitted. <br /> <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Preservation Awards <br /> <br />Koertje recommended, due to the hour for which the meeting was at, this item <br />should be continued until the July 19, 2010. <br /> <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Year to Date HPF Accounting <br /> <br />McCartney presented the year to date accounting memo. The Commission <br />appreciated being able to review the current status of the budget. <br /> <br />Update/Discussion/Action – How to Determine/list the Contributing <br />Noncontributing Buildings in Downtown. <br /> <br />Stewart stated that he wasn’t sure if this should be something that staff should do <br />in house or if it something a consultant should be hired to do. <br />Russ stated staff does not have adequate man power to work on this project in <br />house and recommended the Commission look for a consultant to perform the <br />work. <br />Stewart recommended staff come back to the HPC with a process. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Mrs. Downers Cabins <br />Jean Morgan gave an update of the fence posts and asked the HPC to write a <br />letter to the owner so the fence posts can be saved and stored in the museum. <br />Koertje offered to contact Bridget Bacon at the museum and will also write a <br />letter to the owner. <br /> <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Possible Commercial Incentives <br /> <br />
