Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />December 7, 2023 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />Laura Leveque: Laura shared that bike lanes on Polk street near Cherry Street <br />are not safe for bikers and encouraged the board to engage with this effort. <br />Staff Update — <br />There was no discussion about the December staff update <br />Discussion Item — Sustainability Collaboration with Lafayette and Superior <br />Advisory Boards/Committees <br />Members from each of the three sustainability boards introduced themselves, <br />shared how long they've been on each board and something they bring to the <br />group. <br />The Sustainability Managers shared updates about how the three divisions <br />collaborate throughout the year. See presentation for more details. <br />The Chair of each cities' board shared accomplishments and challenges from <br />2023. First, Todd shared accomplishments: lawn mower rebates, electrification <br />rebates, Internal Decarbonization Plan, Community Decarbonization Plan. Then, <br />he shared challenges: Dark Sky Ordinance, e-bike rebates, finding volunteers for <br />events. Then, a member asked how LSAB's budget works and Kayla responded <br />that LSAB makes recommendations for the sustainability division budget. A <br />member asked why dark sky didn't pass and Josh responded that there were <br />conflicting opinions about amortization and Council disagreement. A member <br />asked if Louisville provides residential electrification rebates and Todd responded <br />that the City has a budget of $40,000 for electrification rebates and the maximum <br />per household is $1,200. A member asked if the City is tracking electrification in <br />Marshall Fire rebuilds and Kayla answered that Xcel is tracking this. <br />Next, Rich and Jennifer from Lafayette shared accomplishments: HOA sod <br />removal discussions, Resource Central programs, Climate Action Plan support <br />and alignment with the State's GHG Reduction Roadmap, TASP assistance for <br />
