Residents
b. City staff
c. Fellow City Councilmembers
As a Councilmember, I understand that the nature and effectiveness of my relationships with
different groups are pivotal to my role. Here's how I view these relationships:
My relationship with the residents of Louisville is foundational. I see myself as their
representative, advocate, and listener. My interactions would be characterized by openness,
accessibility, and responsiveness. I aim to be perceived by the residents as approachable,
empathetic, and genuinely committed to addressing their concerns and incorporating their
feedback into city governance.
With City staff, I see a collaborative and respectful relationship. Recognizing their expertise and
experience, my interactions would be based on mutual respect, support, and clear
communication. I hope to be seen by City staff as a supportive ally, someone who values their
insights and contributions, and works well alongside them to achieve the best outcomes for the
city.
My relationship with fellow Councilmembers would be one of cooperation and mutual respect,
regardless of differing viewpoints. I believe in the importance of collaborative problem -solving and
constructive debate. My goal is to be seen as a team player who is open-minded, fair, and
dedicated to finding common ground for the benefit of the entire community.
In all these relationships, I would strive to be seen as someone who is integrity -driven,
solution -focused, and deeply committed to the well-being and progress of Louisville.
