Final copies of the ESCO report were distributed to Council. The Open Space Advisory
Board will conduct an open house to accept public comments on the proposed
recommendations on Wednesday, February 27, at the Louisville Public Library.

The City is moving towards implementation of self-collection of sales tax. There were
questions regarding how to address vendor fees, delinquencies and seizures, penalties and
interest, and collection of sales tax on the sale of businesses. Council agreed to discuss a
proposed sales tax ordinance addressing these issues at an upcoming study session.
th

Activity for the 96 Street/Hwy 42 connection is increasing and may require additional staff
to complete.

The organizational chart in the Louisville Municipal Code is inaccurate, as one example, the
Department of Human Resources no longer exists. There was discussion to replace the
organizational ordinance with an annual plan from the City Manager.

The Mayor requested that staff distribute a confidential memo to City Council outlining the proposed
impact to the City’s budget should Kmart close the Louisville store.

The Mayor reported that the Mayor’s & Commissioner’s Coalition will be meeting with CDOT on
Friday (January 25) to request a $7.5 million contribution from CDOT to match RTD’s $7.5 million
contribution for an Environmental Impact Statement on US 36.

Mayor Pro-Tem Sisk requested that staff provide Council with a schedule on the South Sub-Area &
North Louisville Comprehensive Plans and the proposed code changes relative to the planning/PUD
process.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.

3
