<br /> <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />April 27, 2004 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room of <br />the Louisville Public Library, 950 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were <br />present - <br /> <br />City Council: Arnie Levihn, Sheri Marsella, Don Brown, Dave <br />Clabots, Michele Van Pelt, and Mayor Charles Sisk <br />(arrived at 8:40 p.m.) <br /> <br />Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br />Julie Boyd, Deputy City Mgr <br />Cindy Lair, Director of Land Management <br />Belinda Goebel, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br />Others in Attendance: Sam Light, City Attorney (arrived at 8:00 p.m.) <br /> <br />Discussion/Direction – 2004 Open Space & Trail Requests <br />Members of the Citizens Open Space Advisory Board & Boulder County Open Space Department <br />employees met to discuss cooperative projects for jointly owned open space. Those in attendance <br />were: <br /> <br />Open Space Advisory Board Boulder County Open Space Department <br />Bob Muckle Ron Stewart <br />Pat Hornbostel Jeff Moline <br />Gary Mansdorfer Janet Bellis <br />Jon Carron Ben Pearlman <br />Cary Tengler Jan Burns <br /> <br />Ron Stewart explained that the Boulder County Open Space Tax passed in 1993 requires Boulder <br />County to review open space projects each year. He reviewed the revenue sources for the Open <br />Space Department, as well as the Department’s mission statement and goals. A Power Point <br />presentation on various Boulder County Open Space properties and projects was shown. <br /> <br />Ben Pearlman reviewed the current Boulder County Open Space capital projects. <br /> <br />Members of the Open Space Advisory Board expressed concern about the over-use of trails in <br />Boulder County, based upon population projections. Ron Stewart stated that the Open Space <br />Department is already considering ways to reduce impact to the various properties. <br /> <br />
