<br />station along Cherry Street. The station is currently used at 60% capacity, and <br />must be moved in order to increase the capacity to service the remainder of <br />development at CTC. The City Attorney is researching whether the City could <br />recover the costs to participate in relocating the sewage lift station by adding a <br />surcharge to utility bills for CTC users. <br /> <br /> <br />Update on Discussions with Lafayette regarding water to Coal Creek Cemetery – <br />The City received a letter from Lafayette City Manager Gary Klaphake in <br />November with a proposed agreement. The City Attorney is currently reviewing <br />the agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />Update on BVSD IGA for Monarch High School Tennis Courts – There has been <br />one change made to the IGA, adding a section that both staffs will come up with <br />an acceptable time for turning the lights off. Monarch High School has agreed not <br />to schedule any school competitions where court lights would be used. <br /> <br /> <br />Bill Simmons reported that he met with Western Golf Management this morning. <br />The current golf course management contract expires 2006 and the City needs to <br />decide whether to negotiate with them or go out to RFP. The benefits of having a <br />management company oversee the golf course versus the City managing it were <br />discussed. The majority felt the City should negotiate with Western Golf <br />Management for a shorter term. Bill Simmons explained that there was an <br />ownership change in the management company approximately eighteen months <br />ago and there appears to be more commitment. Today’s discussion included more <br />involvement with the City, marketing ideas, programming with recreation center, <br />etc. <br /> <br /> <br />Bill reported that he was recently contacted by someone interested in purchasing a <br />piece of the MedTech property on which to build a single-family home. He <br />explained that the City currently needs to determine how much property it needs <br />th <br />to reserve to repay the right-of-way taken for the 96 Street/Highway 42 <br />connection. It was agreed that Bill will contact the party once it is determined if <br />there is land available to purchase. <br /> <br /> <br />Bill and Heather are working with Comcast & Community TV to update the <br />equipment in the public access studio. <br /> <br />The December 28, 2004 study session was discussed.
