I feel that I am well qualified for this <br />position as I have an extensive background in the arts. I am <br />currently working as the Director of Education and Outreach with <br />Opera Colorado —a position that I have held for the past three <br />years. `:I have lived in Louisville for eight years, having moved <br />here fro n New York to enroll in the Music program at the <br />University 'of Colorado at Boulder. I received my Master's Degree <br />in Music Performance and Pedagogy from CU in 1999 and have <br />been'working in the arts ever since. Although I teach voice lessons <br />privately from my home here in Louisville, much of my work with <br />Opera Colorado tends to be in the Denver area, and I would like to <br />be more involved in bringing the arts to my home community. I <br />am especially interested in seeing more opportunities created for <br />youth to become active in the arts. Thank you for your <br />consideration.
