<br />Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />APRIL 20 2006 <br />Page 3 of 17 <br /> <br />Jennifer Bales, 1520 Euclid Cr., Lafayette discussed concerns with density, lack of open space <br />dedication and requested the Commission read the letter she had submitted for public record. <br /> <br />Michael Dayton, 2392 Sandpiper Dr., Lafayette, discussed concerns with lack of open space <br />along Paschal Dr., the value of homes along Paschal Dr., and the removal of mature Cottonwood <br />Trees along the irrigation ditch when it is piped. He thanked Mr. Markel for the time he has <br />taken to meet with the residents of Lafayette. <br /> <br />Jorge Roccatagliata, 1680 Waneka Lake Tr., Lafayette, discussed density, style of proposed <br />housing units that are very different from what is currently in the area, pocket parks appearing to <br />be located on very busy streets and the plan not representing a sense of neighborhood because of <br />the density and style. <br /> <br />Ty Gee, 253 Hoover Cr., Louisville, discussed the Comprehensive Plan and its relationship to the <br />proposed development and a concern with entitlements that have become part of the discussion. <br /> <br />Jen Lowe, 749 Paschal Dr., Lafayette, referenced the handout that was distributed to the <br />Commission prior to the meeting. She continued that the included pictures demonstrate the style <br />of proposed housing units, and lot sizes. <br /> <br />Lipton discussed his concern that no one, from Lafayette has addressed what the City of <br />Lafayette is doing to help their residents concern of the lack of open space / buffer between the <br />two communities. <br /> <br />Lowe stated that there have been meetings that she had been unable to attend where it has been <br />requested that Lafayette purchase open space. She was also aware of letters that had been sent to <br />the Lafayette Planning Commission and City Council requesting there assistance and support to <br />address their concerns. <br /> <br />Kerry Lowe, 749 Paschal Dr., Lafayette, thanked Mr. Markel for the meeting he had with the <br />Lafayette residents and it appears he is willing to work with the Lafayette residents to address <br />their concerns. He expressed concern with the construction traffic that will be required to use <br />Paschal Dr. and would like to have another access point available to eliminate that traffic on an <br />already very busy street and intersection of Paschal and HWY 42 / 95th Street. <br /> <br />Lori Jones, 269 McKinley Park Lane, Louisville, discussed traffic concerns. She stated that the <br />revised plans appear to have addressed some of the concerns that have been expressed during <br />previous meetings. <br /> <br />Linda Lee, 2348 Dogwood Cr., Louisville, stated that she supports the project. She discussed <br />current entitlements, diverse housing types, school attendance, the proposed cultural center and <br />the need for traffic signals to be installed before build-out. <br /> <br />Susan Morris, 939 West Maple Ct., Louisville, referenced the email she submitted for the pubic <br />record and discussed the importance of reaching some type of agreement between the developer <br />and the community that will be fair to both. She asked if the city can afford to financially support <br />the proposed cultural center and encouraged the Commission to consider the population cap of <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Bill Rumbley, 744 Paschal Dr., Lafayette, discussed the change in density along Paschal Dr. and <br />the fact that it now allows for a better neighborhood transition. He continued with traffic <br />concerns, the need for the two communities to work together to address the concerns, the need <br />
