City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> August 17, 2010 <br /> Page 3 of 7 <br /> This year marks the 75 Annual Labor Day Parade <br /> The Money Magazine "Take Charge Live Event" is scheduled for Thursday, <br /> September 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. It will be held at the Louisville Middle <br /> School. On -line registration for the event is required. Interested persons can <br /> register at www.moneytakecharge.com. <br /> City Manager Fleming attended the Golf Course Advisory Board meeting on <br /> Monday, August 17. He reported the Board will present a detailed report in <br /> November or December. Western Golf Properties presented their preliminary <br /> budget information for the operation of the golf course. <br /> The Goodhue Ditch/West Elm Street will meet on Thursday, August 19, at 7:00 <br /> p.m. in the Library Conference Room. <br /> He thanked the Downtown Business Association (DBA) for the successful Street <br /> Faire program. He thanked Kathy Lorenzo, Jim Balsick and other Parks Staff <br /> members who help clean pup after each Street Faire in preparation for the <br /> Saturday Farmer's Market. <br /> Mayor Sisk reported three representatives from Money Magazine were sent to Louisville <br /> to choose a site for their "Take Charge Live Event." Two sites were offered by the City <br /> and Money Magazine chose the Louisville Middle School. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> PROCLAMATION EAT LOCAL WEEK <br /> Members of Transition Louisville are sponsoring "Eat Local Week," from August 28 <br /> through September 4. The event provides an opportunity for Boulder County citizens to <br /> explore and celebrate local food, highlighting local family farms and farmers' markets, <br /> along with the restaurants, grocers, and organizations which support them. Mayor Sisk <br /> read and presented the proclamation to David Greenwald of Transition Louisville and <br /> Kelly Williams of the Louisville Farmer's Market. <br /> David Greenwald outlined the events, which are planned during "Eat Local Week <br /> which included the viewing of documentary film "Fresh" at the Louisville Library on <br /> Monday, August 30; an "Eat Local Conference" on September 3 at the University of <br /> Colorado Auditorium; events conducted at local restaurants and a film festival. He <br /> provided the City a booklet containing all of the events. <br /> Kelly Williams thanked Counciil for their support of local farms and businesses. <br /> PRESENTATION 2009 COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT <br /> EIDE BAILLY <br /> Mayor Sisk noted the 2009 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report was reviewed by <br /> the Finance Committee. He requested a Staff presentation. <br />
