City Council Meeting Minutes September 7, 2010 Page 11 of 12 Mayor Sisk explained the City Council met in Executive Session to discuss the Third Amended Employment Agreement for City Manager Fleming. Mayor Pro Tem Marsella and Mayor Sisk met with City Manager Fleming to discuss his evaluation for the period of August 15, 2009 through August 14, 2010. Mr. Fleming requested no increase of compensation at contract renewal. However, City Council provided in the contract an increase by at least the same salary adjustment percentage amount that other City employees received in 2010. With respect to the City Manager's evaluation, Mayor Sisk explained Mr. Fleming received very high accolades for budget preparation and management and for the advancement (empowerment) of the City Staff. Council requested City Manager Fleming be more involved with the City Staff members and that Study Sessions have an emphasis to meet with City Boards or Commissions and on items coming forward to City Council meetings. Mayor Pro Tem Marsella stated the City Council wanted to make sure City Manager Fleming's pay increase is the same as the City employees. She noted City Manager Fleming was very pleased with City Council's support. MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve the Third Amended Employment Agreement, for City Manager Fleming, with revisions to Section 3, seconded by all members of Council. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7 -0. City Attorney Light read Ordinance No.1578, Series 2010. MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No.1578, Series 2010 on first reading, order it published and set a public hearing on September 21, 2010, seconded by Councilor Clabots. All were in favor. ORDINANCE No. 1579, SEIRIES 2010 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 2010 EDITION OF THE MODEL TRAFFIC CODE; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE ADOPTED CODE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH —1 Reading Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction.
