Reject all Bids for City Hall Generator and Authorize Negotiation for <br /> General Purchase and Installation <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy, Louisville, CO continued his filibuster, which began in April <br /> 6, 2010, regarding his belief the City protects Comcast Cable from citizen complaints. <br /> He addressed the Greater Metro Telecommunications Consortium (GMTC), whose <br /> mission is to protect the public's interest in matters related to telecommunications <br /> issues. He felt the GMTC promotes and protects the interests of the cable company <br /> rather than the public's interest. Hle noted the GMTC is considering privatizing and <br /> abandoning its regulatory authority, as well as its commitment to serve the public's <br /> interest. He explained the GMTC refused his Open Records request and stated his <br /> intention to take this matter to the District Court in Denver. <br /> Jean Morgan, 1131 Spruce Street, Louisville, CO reported there is water in the <br /> basement of the Jacoe House, where the historic ledgers are stored. She encouraged <br /> Council to allocate funds in the 2011 budget for a storage facility to house records. She <br /> noted the estimated the cost for the plans and architectural drawings to be <br /> approximately $20,000. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Councilor Muckle addressed Mr. Sobel's comments and stated he is continuing to work <br /> on the cable television notification issues. He agreed the City needs to take steps to <br /> safely store historic artifacts. He announced Sunday, September 26, is the 2nd Annual <br /> Solar Home Tour in Louisville. It will be held between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. <br /> Mayor Sisk thanked the City Events Planner Kay Gazaway, for the success of the Labor <br /> Day Festivities.
