Principle ED-4. The City should cooperate with surrounding communities to <br />explore opportunities for regional solutions to economic development challenges. <br />Policy ED-4.1: <br />The City should participate with public/private entities that further <br />economic development on a regional and State level. <br />Policy ED-4.2: <br />The City should evaluate the benefits of forming a regional <br />partnership within Boulder County as a vehicle to pool resources and encourage <br />cooperation. <br />Policy ED-4.3: <br /> The City should participate in regional activities that promote <br />Louisville. <br />Policy ED-4.4: <br />The City should participate in bringing state and local programs <br />designed to encourage business growth to businesses in Louisville. <br />Principle ED-5. The City should work to support and maintain the historic and <br />cultural attributes of the Downtown Business District. <br />Policy ED-5.1: <br />The City should periodically review the Downtown Framework Plan <br />and the Downtown Design Handbook to ensure that the guidelines are applied in a <br />manner that encourages the revitalization of existing structures, historic preservation <br />where applicable, as well as application of appropriate guidelines in the construction <br />of new structures. <br />Policy ED- 5.2 <br /> The City should support and promote the revitalization of existing <br />structures that maintain the character of downtown, while providing a diverse <br />business base. <br />Policy ED-5.3: <br /> The City should support a mix of uses that bring new revenue <br />generation to the downtown area. <br />Policy ED-5.4: <br />The City should support and promote efforts that showcase both <br />development opportunity and quality of life in Louisville, such as the “Street Faire”, <br />parades, the “Taste of Louisville”, shopping opportunities and other community <br />events. <br />
