BRaD <br />Meeting Summary <br />September 7, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />Reported the A&W/KFC building would be going on the market possibly next month. <br />Boulder County Business Report’s IQ included Pearl Izumi and Rogers Design Group as runners- <br />up. <br />The draft Sunset Magazine article has been submitted to the magazine and will appear in the April <br />2011 issue. <br />Business Assistance Programs (BAPs) have worked in downtown for new restaurants, and staff, in <br />general, sees no reason to support any others. Staff will be monitoring restaurant sales tax for <br />downtown restaurants and restaurants city-wide, monitoring tax receipts month-by-month. <br />Vestas is looking for another facility for R&D light manufacturing, considering Louisville, Brighton, <br />and sites in Massachusetts and Wisconsin. <br />Sam’s building – a developer has made an offer – hoping to get an answer soon about the <br />outcome. <br />Safeway building – 3 possible interested parties. <br />REPORTS FROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS <br />Rob Lathrop, BRaD member, expressed his desire to organize a committee to work on connectivity <br />from CTC to Downtown and possibly COP to Downtown.
