Reviewed the memo from Land Management regarding the City's cost per acre of open space. . Reminded the Commission that the May 25, 2006 Staff Report also includes the Fiscal Cost and Analysis data. . Reviewed the list of outstanding concerns on page 12 of the May 25,2006 Staff Report. . Requested a motion to enter into record the emails and letters received since the distribution of the meeting packets. Loo moved and Pritchard seconded a motion to enter into record the emails and letters referenced by Wood. Motion passed by voice vote. Commission Questions of Staff: Lipton inquired if the Comp Plan had included commercial development on the east side of HWY 42. Wood reviewed the Comp Plan to confirm that commercial was not proposed along the eastside ofHWY 42. McAvinew discussed the chart on page 4 of the May 25,2006 Staff Report. He noted that the 146,624 SF listed at West ofHWY 42 and under the GDP Residential Entitlements column should actually be under the GDP Commercial Entitlements column. Deborski discussed the location of affordable housing, as well as proposed buffers. Sheets discussed with Wood the two parcels of undeveloped property in Lafayette and the potential effect their development could have on the City of Louisville. Hartman requested clarification of the wording used on page 9, paragraph 2 in the May 25,2006 staff report. Wood specifically discussed the use of the word 'design'. Bill Simmons, City Manager, addressed the Commission regarding the fiscal report prepared by the Finance Department. He also stated that he was available to answer questions that the Commission might have about the discussions that have transpired between Louisville and Lafayette regarding the future development of property located at the borders of the communities. Applicant Presentation: Michael Markel, 5723 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder reviewed the Illustrative Site Plan that was on Power Point. His discussion focused on open space, pocket parks, play areas, trails, detention areas that could also be used as play areas, as well as Hecla Lake.
