From 1966 to 1999 Percy and Carolyn Conarroe owned the house. The Conarroes
owned and operated the Louisville Times newspaper.
ARCHITECTURAL INTEGRITY:
The house, which is wood frame and stucco, is in a bungalow style, typical of the 1920’s
and 1930’s. In viewing the photo from the 1948 Boulder County Assessor’s card, it
appears the house has not had many alterations or additions since then. In the photo, it
appears the house is stucco – the porch, roof line and windows all appear to be in the
original form with the original materials.
There appears to have been a 9 foot by 20 foot addition to the rear of the structure in
1956. The addition has not been altered.
Aside from t he 1956 rear addition, the house appears to have had little modification for
50 years or more.
CURRENT USE:
The building is currently the home of the applicant Janice Hoffman.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE AND CRITERIA FOR LISTING AS LOCAL
LANDMARK:
Landmarks must be at least 50 years old and meet one or more of the criteria for
architectural, social or geographic/environmentalsignificance as described in Louisville
Municipal Code (LMC) Section 15.36.050(A).
