The proposed siqn(s) shall present a consistent and <br /> cohesive master design program, incorporating all site <br /> signage in similar color, materials, type -face, copy area, <br /> theme or design. <br /> 4. The proposed siqn(s) are otherwise in conformity with the <br /> standards of this chapter and applicable design guidelines <br /> respecting the size, height, location, design and appearance <br /> of the siqn(s) involved. <br /> 5. All existing and proposed signs must conform to the <br /> regulations and design standards of the building code of the <br /> city and all other applicable codes. Wiring of all electrical <br /> signs must conform to the electrical code of the city. <br /> Section 5. Section 17.24.070 of the Louisville Municipal Code (Reserved) is <br /> hereby amended by the addition of the following text, to read as follows (words to be <br /> deleted are shown in Wit; words to be added are underlined): <br /> 17.24.070 Rese ved Requirements for signs in Downtown Louisville. <br /> A. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this title, any sign <br /> proposed for construction or placement in Downtown Louisville (as <br /> defined in section 17.08.113) shall be regulated solely by and comply <br /> with the Downtown Louisville Sign Manual, as adopted and amended <br /> from time to time by ordinance of the city council. <br /> B. There is hereby adopted by reference and incorporated into <br /> this title the Downtown Louisville Sign Manual "Manual which <br /> Manual is set forth in full as Appendix A to this chapter. The siqn <br /> requirements, standards and guidelines contained in the Manual <br /> may be amended from time to time in the manner set forth in <br /> chapter 17.44. All applicants for a sign permit for construction or <br /> placement of signs within Downtown Louisville shall be advised as <br /> to the existence of the Manual and a copy thereof shall be made <br /> available to such applicants. <br /> Section 6. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, <br /> such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
